Bluefruit Connect is a utility and tools application available for iPhone users. Developed by Adafruit Industries LLC, this free app allows users to wirelessly connect their iOS devices to Adafruit Bluefruit LE modules for control and communication with their projects.
With Bluefruit Connect, users can send iOS sensor and GPS data wirelessly over Bluetooth LE. It also provides a control pad for simple directional control of projects. The app allows users to control Arduino digital, analog, and PWM pin input and output. Additionally, users can send and receive messages via UART monitor in Hex or ASCII format, as well as via CircuitPython REPL.
One of the standout features of Bluefruit Connect is the ability to control NeoPixels individually with an interactive color picker. The app also offers the functionality to scan and list nearby Bluetooth LE peripherals with RSSI and Advertisement data. Users can connect and list peripheral services and characteristics in Info mode.
Bluefruit Connect provides a serial plotter to graphically plot numeric data and supports multiple simultaneous connections for UART and Serial Plotter. The app even allows users to send images via UART. It also offers the convenience of updating the Bluefruit device to the latest firmware version directly from within the app.
